It's so different here so far. There were never this many kids my own age at the Academy, and practically nobody can use the Force here. I miss Ikrit and Tionne already. Tionne still thinks it's best if I'm here for awhile, though, and Master Skywalker agrees, so I guess I'm here for awhile.
I just - miss home right now. This is the first time I've been away from the Academy for more than a week in five years, and it's weird to think of being gone for an entire year. And to not know who's gonna be alive when I get back home.
But there's probably no point in worrying about it for too long, right? That won't get me anything. So I guess now I just have to find out what a girl does for fun around here.
Oh, and my roommate is nice, even if I think I might have scared her a little bit 'cause I talked so much. But the flight here was lonngg, and the pilot I had ddin't talk at all. I think he said ten words the entire trip! How can people do that?
